Gait Analysis

Foot print analysis is a method of assessing pathologies of the lower limb among other uses. Through a foot print analysis, the physiotherapist assesses the morphology of the foot as well as the way in which the patient weight bears on the sole of their foot. This is an assessment without the use of radiation and does not have any negative effects on the body. The aim of foot print analysis is the gathering of data regarding the patient's weight bearing ability, which allows the formation of appropriate custom insoles.

An appointment must be made for the assessment to take place and only requires one visit to the center for its completion. After a period of 6 months, a re-assessment of the patient occurs to assess the state of the patient's feet and insoles . Finally, after a period of 2 years following the application of the insoles, it is recommended that a new foot print analysis occurs and that the insoles are replaced due to damage and deterioration .
